The Ocala Palms Caregiver Support Group (OPSCG) can make your job as a caregiver easier by allowing you to network with others in our community who are similarly challenged. Especially being in a retirement community, it has made it much easier to reach people who need and appreciate help with illnesses, sickness and disease.
Participation in a caregiver support group allows one to discover that they are not alone in a difficult journey. Striving for emotional and moral support with an objective of mutual self-help, members of the group are able to share (in confidence) their experiences; they learn how to tap into community resources needed in providing care.
Ocala Palms Caregiver Support Group provides an opportunity for caregivers to come together to communicate their needs, concerns and learn from one another. The Ocala Palms Caregiver Support Group has so much to give to the world of suffering individuals through their connections to Hospice of Marion County and Elder Options of Gainesville, as well as may of the speakers they have had at their meeting.
