Hilary Mincenberg was a caregiver for her mother who lived with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease during the last 5 years of her life. After her passing, she became a Certified Dementia Practitioner and Activities Director for a dementia-specific assisted living facility. She was given the opportunity to develop dementia care trainings for staff and to act as facilitator for the family support group.
