Sylvia Lucas, M.D., Ph.D., is a board-certified neurologist at the Neurology Clinic at UW Medical Center, the Wadsworth Clinical Term Professor in Headache Research and Practice and a UW professor of Neurology, Neurological Surgery and Rehabilitation Medicine. Dr. Lucas specializes in headache medicine. She strives to create active partnerships with her patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.Dr. Lucas earned her M.D. and Ph.D. at the UW. She is board certified in both Headache Medicine and Neurology. She is a fellow of the American Headache Society, past president of the Puget Sound Neurological Society and on the board of directors of the Headache Cooperative of the Pacific. Her clinical and research interests include headache, brain injury and post-traumatic headache.
