I dreamed I was sitting across from Mom, preparing green beans for freezing. I was thinking about all the hours I had spent by her side. And how sad I was that she was gone. All the while She’s saying something but I’m not listening. I look up from the beans and see her. “Here I am,” She says, “What are you upset about?” Pointing to herself with the paring knife, She says it again. “I’m right here!”
