We are doing aging wrong. Our medical and healthcare systems are reactive, not proactive, and emphasize interventions that treat only our body. But we are more than just our bodies and as we think about and plan for aging for ourselves, our family, or our clients, we must consider the big picture of what we want to achieve as we grow older. We must pay special attention to each nook and cranny of our being—our physical, spiritual, social, emotional, psychological, and financial self—in order to design a plan that fits with our own personal values, expectations, and hopes.
