How did you become the caregiver for your loved one?
I became my fiancé's (now spouse) when he had a stroke at the age of 46. He is now 56. I have been is wife and caregiver for 10 years.
Has your relationship changed with the loved one that you are caring for? If so how?
Yes I think all relationships change when you become a caregiver. He has partial use of the right side of his body and his comprehension and choosing the right words to use was also affected. So of course I had to help him with so many things, but our
What is the hardest thing about being a caregiver and the most rewarding thing?
The hardest thing is being strong all the time and try not to let him see if I am overwhelmed.
What advice would you give to other caregivers?
Stay positive and always be encouraging to your loved one. Take time for yourself
