Spouse has Parkinson's, which has progressed.
Has your relationship changed with the loved one that you are caring for? If so how?
Significant adjustment in communication. Requiring extra patience, creative speech and different measures of patience. Continuous affirmation of love and respect.
What is the hardest thing about being a caregiver and the most rewarding thing?
Change in roles and keeping a balance. I am rewarded by having the privilege of caring for and living out my vow.
What advice would you give to other caregivers?
Love and cherish, realizing that it could be you, consider how you would like to be treated.

The true measure of love, caring and patience.
