How did you become the caregiver for your loved one?
I am her Mom.
Has your relationship changed with the loved one that you are caring for? If so how?
Yes, as she gets older (15 years) the care demands become greater.
What is the hardest thing about being a caregiver and the most rewarding thing?
The hardest thing is not being able to separate my roles as mom and sole caregiver. The most rewarding thing is seeing her happy and healthy. The most rewarding thing is seeing life through her eyes.
What advice would you give to other caregivers?
Give yourself grace. Take advantage of resources available to you.
In ten words or less, what has caregiving taught you?
I have learned to love bigger, deeper and wider!

Daily advocating for my child in all areas. In healthcare, education and in the community. I have created repore with others who care for Jackie and work from a team standpoint
