Juggling work and caring and the most rewarding moment is when the person you care for gives you a smile and says thank you. You know it is genuine.
What advice would you give to other caregivers?
First look after yourself and your well-being. Step back at times to recharge and fight for the right support. Networking with others

When my son had a mental breakdown in 2009, I fought for him not to be placed in centre but instead to be cared for at home.
