Lewy Body Dementia
Hi I was wondering my husband goes to the doctor 01/08/20 to see if he has Lewy bodies Dementia. This week when he wakes up he does not know me, he remembers me in the past looking at pics and as the day goes on he starts to remember me. When he speaks to me he will often say my name but it is like he is speaking to someone else about me to me. We both have cried everyday this week because is so glad when he does recognize me. He was diagnosed with Parkinson in Sept of this year but has been dealing with the symptoms for about 6 yrs but would not go to doctor until he started hallucinating.
This week has been the worst, we have been married 31 yrs and we love each other so much! It breaks my heart to see him go through this! I guess my question is how do adapt when he does not recognize me, just go along with it. At times he ask so many questions I do my best not to confuse him or upset him. Any advice? Thank you!
