Fearless Caregiver Profile: Rebecca Lemus

How did you become the caregiver for your loved one?

There was nothing else going on.

Has your relationship changed with the loved one that you are caring for? If so how?

I need to surrender to compassion and care.

What is the hardest thing about being a caregiver and the most rewarding thing?

Hardest-lots and lots of silence surrounding so many aspects from so many different walks of life.  Rewarding-few accomplishment feeling when it “ goes right”

What advice would you give to other caregivers?

Learn your deepest truth voice and connect to life purpose every step of the way.

In ten words or less, what has caregiving taught you?

Doing Nothing sometimes means bearing a great load that no one sees.

Describe a situation where being a Fearless Caregiver helped you succeed?

I applied and got a job teaching music without fear of being wrong because that is what the care team together decided would be best for all.
