Fearless Caregiver Profile: JO JEWELL

How did you become the caregiver for your loved one?

I  moved my Mother in with me October 2015, after noticing her having difficulties living alone.

Has your relationship changed with the loved one that you are caring for? If so how?

Not really.

What is the hardest thing about being a caregiver and the most rewarding thing?

The hardest is answering her same questions throughout the day, night, week. The most rewarding is she knows how much I love her.

What advice would you give to other caregivers?

Learn about this disease. Understand there is a grieving process that the caregiver will go through.

In ten words or less, what has caregiving taught you?

Patience

Describe a situation where being a Fearless Caregiver helped you succeed?
