My golden eyed beauty, so happy and free, my rock and stability. My golden eyed beauty, filled with laughter and delight, you’ve given me a terrible fright. I know it's name but my lips are tight for fear of that eternal night. When I look into your eyes I hold so dear, I see faint ripples from distant storms, which, I fear, are gathering strength and drawing near. Those sparkling eyes hold a deep dark secret. “A penny for your thoughts,” but a thought can't be bought with a penny, a dollar nor the fortune I'd pay, for just a glimpse behind that curtain before it all goes away. I cannot fathom that veil on your pretty face, that gaze into some distant place. I wish I could hold you and see what you see. I pray it's serene and brings comfort to you and peace for me. Please, share my golden eyed beauty, your hopes and dreams with me, for I'll give you my love, comfort and more till those golden eyes no longer see. Bruce Williams 2012
