Wheelchair Grace

by

Doors are opened
Kind offers
To lift, hold
Lend an arm
Are gratefully
Gracefully accepted.

The sight
Of a silver haired lady
Being chauffeured
In a wheelchair
Brings out the best
In strangers.

Is it the knowledge
That someday
They may be the chauffeur
Or the chauffeured?
Or is it the graceful smile
Of the lady in it?
