Need Help

I need advice, maybe even an attorney, not sure. My father passed away leaving me his only surviving child. He had no will. no house, no life insurance and only a small sum of money in his account. I had to take a loan out to bury him. Now the nursing home and other medical bills are multiplying and being forwarded to me, I'm not the executor. I'm just the only surviving child. I barely get by with my earnings, much less to have to take on my fathers bills that he did not care to pay.  What do I do?
